I first decided to do my first show in 2009, it was a nabba show in Pa. I was enrolled in college with 15 credits, worked full time and had 2 children, I thought my head was gonna explode! after months of training dieting and hard work I got to 3 weeks out from my show and was hit with a divorce, kinda mutual on both parts but i didnt realize how much it would affect me. well, to make a long story short, I didnt do the show, I felt like my mind was elsewhere and i wanted my heart to be fully in it.

Shortly after my divorce I met my amazing husband who turned my life around. he was so supportive of my shows and a bodybuilder himself! We decided to have another baby and ended up losing twin girls due to ttts. after we lost our girls we tried again for another and got our amazing daughter emma. after I had emma I wanted to jump right back in the game. it was alot harder than i thought it would be getting back into it after being pregnant for almost 2 years straight! so after a total of 5 children i set my goal for october 1st 2011. It was an inbf show, and quite a big one as well. i started training hard 4 days after my 3rd baby, I never felt so motivated before, I knew I only had 10 months to build and diet.
I did research after research, days of training in a row eating like crazy, changing up my routines ect. I knew I couldnt go at it alone so i contacted a trainer in my area, and to my surprise he was willing to help. so with a new diet program and training program i felt like things were coming together. I also got a hold of decked in diamonds to get my suit! she made an amazing suit that i can wear for many shows to come. the biggest challenge i had was my husband leaving for the air force basic training. the day he left was our 1 year wedding anniversary, and my show was 2 weeks later. there it was again, this huge wall taking up alot of stress. i couldnt let it get in my way again, and i wouldnt let it. i knew i had to make my husband proud and continue on with the show.

Here it was, october 1st, my parents came all the way from nc to watch my show in buffallo ny. i had never been so nervous, tired ,starving in my life. i hadnt heard from my husband in a week and had no idea when i would here from him. my parents drove me to the show and suddenly a big calm came over me, probably cause of the fact that i wasnt the only orange person in town hahaha. after the polygraph it was time to oil up and hit the warm up rooms. to my surprise all the girls competing were the most wonderful, helpful group of girls i have ever met. then it was time to get on stage for prejudging i was so nervous but as soon as i got on stage i knew i had to act like i had been on stage a hundred times. i did the ms fit division first and the other girls were huge compared to me but i was ok with it. then i went on for ms figure and was a little more comfortable that time around. i was very confident but didnt think i was leaving with first place by any means.

After the prejudging it was time to go home and in between the shows my amazing husband called! i was so excited that i wasnt sure if i cared about leaving with a trophy i was just glad he called and gave me words of encouragement. the night show was amazing! i was a lot more confident this time around. then it was time for the trophies. we all walked out on stage for ms fit and i got last place, which i was ok with it i saw it coming. then when we all got called for ms figure i was blindsided when they called my name for first place. all i could do was stare into the croud at my proud parents! i have to say it was the most rewarding moment of my life besides my children and husband. but as for a personal goal, it was the best challenge i could have made for myself! i have decided to do another show september 21st in las vegas this year!
My diet was as follows:
breakfast 1 egg 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup oats
snack  : 10 almonds 4 oz talapia
lunch: 4 oz talapia 4 oz swt pots 2 cups brocolli
snack: 10 almonds protien shake

snack 10 almonds and protein shake
